Monday, August 25 to Thursday, August 29, 2025
- School office hours - 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
(Once students are in, Regular Office Hours resume - Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
Student Pictures (Student ID and Yearbook) and PowerSchool Access
Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Grade 12 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Grade 12 - for student ID Pictures and PowerSchool Access (for students new to the CBE).
Thursday, August 28, 2025, Grade 11 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Grade 11 - for student ID Pictures and PowerSchool Access (if new to CBE)
Friday, August 29, 2025, Grade 10 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Grade 10 - for student ID Pictures and PowerSchool Access (if new to CBE). Student Tours of the school will be part of the first day of school, Tuesday, September 2nd.

Grade 10 - 9:00AM - 3:38 PM
- Buses will pick up Grade 10s (only) in the morning. Check the Calgary Transit website for route information.
- Lunch will not be provided (bring your lunch) and we ask that all students stay on campus. There will be activities outside on the back field.
- Buses will pick students up at 3:38 PM
Grade 11/12 - 12:15 PM - 3:38 PM
- No buses in the morning for Grade 11s and 12s - Students enter the school at 12:15 PM
- Buses will pick students up at 3:30 PM

Regular classes for all grades from 8:55 AM to 3:38PM (Buses will run on a regular morning and afternoon schedule).

Lockers
For the 2025-2026 school year, all students can receive a locker through their homeroom teacher on the first day of school.

School Merchandise can be purchased through your myCBE account under goods and services.

Fees & Waivers
Fees will be charged to your MyCBE account beginning in October.

Course change information will be emailed to families in mid August.
Transportation
Parking
There is no parking in the the staff lot or in front of our school on the West side of 77th St. This street space in front of the school is reserved for School Buses and Calgary Transit Buses (signs are posted marking the no parking zone).
Student Parking
Student Parking - There is no student parking available on Bowness High School property. Students may park on the streets in our community, except on the West side of 77th St in front of the school.
Calgary Transit
Calgary Transit Express Bus Route and bus pass information can be found on the Calgary Transit website. Please note that some routes may have changed from last year.

School Supplies
Students will be provided with this information by individual teachers. We suggest that students start school with at least a pen/pencil and a binder containing lined paper.
Clubs & Activities
Athletics
Information about Fall Activities & Teams such as: football, girls' soccer, cross country, swimming, and volleyball will be emailed to families by the end of August.
Fine & Performing Arts
Students involved in the fine and performing arts can showcase their skills in our on-site professional theatre and art gallery facilities.
Cafeteria
Food Service does not start at the beginning of a new semester. Information on the first day of Food Service will be posted by the Cafeteria and via morning announcements. Menu information will be posted on our cafeteria webpage as it becomes available.
Photos & Yearbooks
Student pictures will be taken at the beginning of the school year. This picture is used for the Student ID card and the Yearbook, and a proof is provided in mid to late September to parents for purchasing a photo package, if they wish. Yearbooks can be ordered through jostens.com and this information will be provided to families in September.
Learning Technologies & Student Wi-Fi
Digital technologies are transforming how we teach our students. We utilize a range of technology tools to personalize each student’s learning experience, including getting connected to Wi-Fi for seamless access to educational resources.
Off-Site Activities
Keep updated on field-trips and other exciting off-site activities throughout the year. We're excited to expand on learning opportunities by stepping outside of the classroom.

Forms
You will use SchoolEngage (available in your MyCBE account) to complete forms such as Demographic Verification, Annual Authorization, Student Health Plan, Student Health Emergency Response Protocol, and Citizenship Information Update. Please be sure you have access prior to the start of school and contact the school if you are having difficulty setting up or accessing your account.
