There are a number of school awards available to students in all grades. These celebrate all facets of student achievement throughout our school community.
Pride and Excellence Awards
Bowness High School holds the annual Pride and Excellence Awards in late June. Please check our school calendar for the date. We will be celebrating our students’ achievements in three ways:
- Honour Society: Awards will be given to Grades 10, 11, and 12 as well as Lifetime Honour Society awards. Students must apply for Honour Society. See below for more information.
- Academic Achievement Awards: Awards will be given to students who have earned the top mark in each course, at each grade level.
- Bowness Scholarship Recipients: Awards for Bowness specific scholarships will be recognized during this event. Please see Scholarship Information for more information.
Students will receive a letter of invitation for this event via email through SchoolMessenger later in June. Parents are invited to attend this event to celebrate their child’s accomplishments. Please save this date if you are expecting an invitation as invitations will come very late as averages are calculated.

Students are nominated by teachers and have demonstrated leadership, commitment and dedication to meaningful student activities. Students are presented with a certificate at an assembly at the end of each semester.
