BowDance is happening  Thursday Jan 22nd at 7pm. Dance 15/25/35 students and guests from our school will be performing the work we've created over this semester. It promises to be an eclectic, dynamic, vibrant show! Tickets are on sale NOW! Tickets can be purchased in advance - cash only - through Ms Walsh in the Dance/Yoga office (room 1048) and will be on sale at the Fishbowl over lunch for the next week. Tickets can also be purchased at the door on the night of the performance with cash/credit/debit.

Summer Employment Opportunities: The City of Calgary is hiring youth for summer seasonal employment in areas including: recreation leader, pro shop attendants, waterslide monitors, skateboard, skating and sailing instructors, golf guides, and so on. BHS Music Bottle Drive-Saturday January 31 10am-2pm
Please save your bottles, cans and refundables to support the students of the BHS Music program. This bottle drive and bottle drop allows music students to earn money towards their music fees and/or their music tour to Whistler/Vancouver this April. Please drop your empties at Bowness High School between 10am - 2pm on Saturday, January 31. Students will also be out collecting in the communities of Bowness and Montgomery on January 31 between 10 am - 2pm. 

The Student Union is hosting a pink shirt day design contest. Designs need to be submitted to Ms. Martinez at mcmartinez@cbe.ab.ca by January 21st. The design chosen will win a shirt. Order dates for pink shirts are January 26-February 11th. and will be distributed between February 20th-24th. Pink shirt day is the 25th of February

Second Semester Timetable Changes 

The deadline to make changes to semester 2 timetables is Friday, January 23 at 1:30 p.m. Timetable changes must be made in person in Student Services.  Students can either book an appointment with their school counsellor or “drop in” during Flex or lunch time to make these changes.  Priority is currently being given to those students with 'See Counsellor' in their timetable. PLEASE COME BY STUDENT SERVICES AT DROP IN TIMES TO DISCUSS WITH YOUR COUNSELLOR ASAP!

All Semester 1 Textbooks can be returned starting Monday January 19, 2026, as per class schedule. Library books, ELA novels, and Textbooks not returned will be marked LOST and a fee will be added to student’s account. All fees must be paid prior to signing out semester 2 books.

Report Cards will become available to view starting February 2nd through MyCBE. Please note that report cards cannot be viewed through the PowerSchool mobile app.  Log in to view this information through your web browser.

Powerschool App – a reminder to families and students that the PowerSchool App is a 3rd party app and is not supported by the CBE. For the most accurate up to date information please use the web browser on your computer or device. With all school based users preparing for the release of student report cards for the first semester, the number of users accessing the application is creating issues.

Graduation D2L Shell is now open!! Information is being added and updated on a regular basis. Please have your students view the page and ensure their graduation gown has been ordered by filling out the form in D2L. Reminder to parents you will need to use the student’s log in information to access D2L. 

Students arriving late or leaving early need to check in at the main office. Thank you for being proactive and sending us a message letting us know about appointments – please remind your students the office still needs them to come to the office to confirm arrivals and departures.
