Good afternoon Bowness Trojans and families. 

Please refer to the information for Tuesday September 2.

First Day of School – Grade 10 Students (Tuesday, September 2, 2025)

• All Grade 10 (and only Grade 10) students will meet in the Main Gymnasium at 9:00am. Staff will be in the main foyer to welcome students to Bowness and guide them to the gym.
• Once there, we will have an Assembly with some introductions and a welcome message from our Principal, Mrs. Macdonald, and other voices from the Bowness school community.
• At the end of the assembly, students will be introduced to their homeroom teacher and go with them to their homeroom (listed below). In the homeroom, the teacher will talk about life and learning at Bowness, give out lockers and do a tour of the school.
• Lunch will be from 11:45am-12:30pm but will not be provided by the school, students should bring their own lunches.
• Grade 10 students will reconvene with their homeroom at 12:30pm after lunch.
• There will be an online assembly (via MS Teams), where the Assistant Principals and Students Services will go through the resources available to students and
• expectations. This will be followed by a “Mini timetable” rotation of the student’s classes, each ~15min long, following a Day 1 rotation: Period 1, Period 2, Period 3, Period 4. Students will be done for the day at the regular time of 3:38pm.
• Wednesday, September 3rd will be a normal, full day of classes following the Day 1 rotation students can see in PowerSchool.

Grade 10 Teachers must be in the gym at 9:00am and will meet students in the Gym and take them to their Homeroom (~9:30am)

• Grade 11 & 12 students will go straight to their homerooms at 12:30pm after lunch (Listed below, please scroll down).
• In the homeroom, the teacher will talk about life and learning at Bowness and give out lockers.
• There will be an online assembly (via MS Teams), where the Assistant Principals and Students Services will go through the resources available to students and expectations.
