BHS Music presents – Echoes of Winter 

Come join us in celebrating the hard work and dedication of our musicians and enjoy an evening filled with wonderful music and festive spirit. We will hear from all BHS Music ensembles - Concert Band, Jazz Band and Choir on this exciting and special night of music and we look forward to sharing all of it with you!

Tree of Giving – Reminder for anyone who has not returned their ornament and gift to the Learning Commons to please do so before Tuesday December 16.  Thank you to everyone who has participated in making the season brighter for some of our families.

CAREERS is a foundation that brings together industry, schools and communities to guide youth into successful career paths and to connect students to employers for paid internships.

CAREERS will be here on Monday, December 15 presenting to a few classes, and will be in the theatre at FLEX! If you want to find out what kind of work appeals to you, and to find out how to earn and learn through a paid internship, go meet with CAREERS! Summer Work Experience Opportunity: Calaway Park auditions and job applications open January 1. Go to the Calaway Park website for more information. They offer work experience credits, great wages, and free transportation to the park with their Team Member bus system.  For more information, Calaway Park will be here on Wed, Dec 17 at lunch in the cafeteria foyer!

A note from Trojans Culinary – Last day of cafeteria service will be Wednesday December 17.  There will be no service on Thursday or Friday next week.

Registering for Semester 2 Online Classes with CBE-Learn

*Please note - Students wishing to add an online course to their schedule for the second semester must complete the online form between the dates of November 19 and December 19.  

• Grade 12 Priority Deadline: December 8
• Grades 10, 11, 12 (if space available) Deadline: December 19  

It is important to note that classes do fill up quickly, so we recommend submitting this form earlier than later.  Be aware that CBE-Learn continues with the occasional in-person assessment. Please keep this in mind when planning your courses.  
 

Second Semester Timetable Changes 

The deadline to make changes to semester 2 timetables is Friday, January 23 at 1:30 p.m. Timetable changes must be made in person in Student Services.  Students can either book an appointment with their school counsellor or “drop in” during Flex or lunch time to make these changes.  Priority is currently being given to those students with 'See Counsellor' in their timetable. PLEASE COME BY STUDENT SERVICES AT DROP IN TIMES TO DISCUSS WITH YOUR COUNSELLOR ASAP!

Reminder to students – Winter has arrived!!  Please dress appropriately for the weather, and keep in mind that in case of an emergency we may need to leave the building and be outside for a period of time. Be prepared!!

There is no student parking in the onsite parking lots at the school.  All students must use street parking. Please be kind to our neighbours, and be aware of driveways and alleys when parking.

Transportation – for students using Calgary Transit please note some routes will have changes starting December 22.  See Winter Service Changes 2025. Please ensure your students are dressed and prepared for any delays due to the weather and traffic conditions. Monitor the Calgary Transit bus app to keep informed.
