Bowness High School Student Schedules and Fall Online CBe-learn Information
Students will be able to see their timetables in PowerSchool starting on August 15, 2024. It is important to read the attached document completely. Any timetable changes must be completed using the link below.
Dear Students
We hope you had a great summer! Just a reminder that the first day of school is August 29!
Please see the information below on how to make a timetable change, sign up for online classes, and complete your graduation checks. Sorry but we cannot accommodate changes through email during these busy times. Please fully read the information below to understand the process! Thank you for your understanding.
Wellness: All students are registered in a course called “Wellness”. This is not an actual scheduled class. It is a group that is attached to our Student Services D2L so that all of our students can access information and receive messages from the Student Services team.
Making Changes to Student Schedules
Students will be able to see their timetable in MyCBE/PowerSchool starting on August 15, 2024. Students may request schedule changes using the online form link below starting August 15 until Tuesday, August 27 using the link below. Although you may see your schedules in PowerSchool, please remember that schedules will not be finalized until Wednesday, August 28 as there may be late changes due to changes to teacher assignments, class locations, class balancing, new registrations, etc. Students are encouraged to take a screen shot of their schedule the evening of Wednesday, August 28th to refer to on the first day of classes, as schedules will not be printed. For those new to the CBE, parents can make a parent account in order to access your timetable before the first day of school. Students can login into their account when they come into the building for pictures on August 27 and 28. Some student requests for options may not have been accommodated due to class sizes and availability, so counsellors had to go to alternate choices.
There will be limited room in classes to accommodate changes so our priority must be the following:
- Missing pre-requisites
- Missing graduation requirements
- Core Classes are imbalanced
- Summer School results
- Change of course sequence
We will unfortunately not be able to accommodate semester preferences, teacher preferences and peer preferences. Option and course changes will only be accommodated if there is room in the course requested.
PLEASE NOTE: Please complete all parts of this form and submit to Student Services starting August 15 and before the due date of August 27, 2024.
*Students with “see counsellor” in their schedule may not submit a Timetable Change form. They need to come to Student Services and will be priority for drop in from 1:00 pm 4:00 pm on August 26-28, and August 29 during the regular school day.
The online Timetable Change Request Form link will open on August 15

Students are currently registered in the courses that were recommended by their teachers. If you are requesting to make a change to a course sequence that was not recommended, please submit a Pathway Appeal Form and submit to your school counsellor. Email information is below.
Registering for Fall Online Classes with CBe-learn
Students wishing to add an online course to their schedule for first semester must complete this online form between the dates of August 15 – September 4. It is important to note that classes do fill quickly, so we recommend submitting this form prior to August 27 to ensure a spot in an online course.

Graduation Class of 2025
Grade 12 students, please complete the graduation check form before the school year begins, to ensure you are registered in all of the required courses and credits needed to graduate. You must also book a grad appointment with your school counsellor before the end of first semester in order to ensure you are on the grad list. In this appointment your school counsellor will help you make a MyPass Account, review graduation requirements, support you in your post-secondary and scholarship applications, support you in career exploration, and discuss any financial need. We suggest making the appointment earlier rather than later.

Please note that, although you may be able to see your timetable in MyCBE/PowerSchool, schedules will not be finalized until Wednesday, August 28 as there may be late changes due to enrolment, class locations, etc. Take a screenshot of your timetable before coming to school on Thursday, August 29 so you can refer to it for the first few days. Timetables will not be printed by Student Services or the Main Office. Students new to the CBE will not have access to PowerSchool until they log on to a school computer but parents can set up their parent account and view the timetable. Refer to our school website for all back to school information. We have set up days and times for students to come to our school between August 26 and 28 to have school pictures done and students will have the opportunity to access a school computer to sign in to MyCBE / PowerSchool, if needed.
